Bio/Admin History Bernard Charles Lunn enlisted with the 16th Battalion (The Canadian Scottish) in September 1914. He served in World War One as a Company Sergeant Major. He served with the reserve units in England from 1916 until 1919. In April 1919 he was released from active service. In retirement, Lunn was involved with the 16th Battalion Veterans' Association. In 1968 he was selected to represent the association at the 50th Anniversary of the World War One Armistice Day.
Scope and Content The fonds consists of the records of Bernard Lunn's military career. It contains hand-written notes on regimental activities. The fonds also includes ephemera collected by Mr. Lunn during the World Wars, programs of the 16th Battalion's re-union dinners, details of his trip to Europe to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Armistice Day, and various newspaper clippings.
