Bio/Admin History Reginald Biscoe was born in Courtenay on 17 May 1920. Prior to his enlistment for active service, Biscoe was employed as a bank-teller. Before joining the Canadian Scottish Regiment's 1st Battalion in September 1940, Biscoe had served from 1936 to 1938 with the 2nd Battalion. During World War Two he served as a Sergeant in the 1st Battalion with the Head-Quarter's intelligence branch. Sergeant Biscoe returned home safely in 1945 and re-entered civilian life as a bank-teller.
Scope and Content The fonds consists of Sergeant Biscoe's records of service from World War II. These include his service and pay books, as well as his notes on the German Army. Sergeant Biscoe's fonds also contains a scrapbook of newspaper clippings and photographs, various ephemera from the war, correspondence, and aerial photographs of Germany.
