Bio/Admin History David R. Clark was born in Seymour, Conn. and educated at Wesleyan (B.A. 1947) and Yale (Ph.D. 1955). He also studied at Reed College, Indiana University and the Kenyon School of English. Clark has taught English Literature at many locales including: University of Massachusetts, Amherst (Professor of English); University College, Dublin; University of Victoria and Syracuse University. His publications are mainly (but not exclusively) centred on Irish literature, where his work has been both critical and editorial. He is a member of the editorial board of The Cornell Yeats.
Scope and Content The fonds consists of: research notes; correspondence; census material; MS photocopies, transcriptions and proofs produced in the production of Clark's The Winding Stair (1929): Manuscript materials published by The Cornell Yeats (1995) at the Cornell University Press. In addition to material on Yeat's The Winding Stair (1929), The research includes related material from The Winding Stair and Other Poems (1933) and Words for Music Perhaps. Also included is a set of corrected page proofs for Druid Craft (1971).
