Collection enrichment

A very significant portion of our main collection, as well as our rare books and archival materials, come to us from community members, alumni and faculty. These donations of gifts-in-kind enrich our collections. Thank you to each of these individuals.

The UVic Libraries encourages inquiries from prospective donors about contributions of books, diaries, journals, correspondence, subject files, manuscripts, photographs, scrapbooks, maps, financial and business records, legal records, equipment and other material which support the teaching and research needs of the university.

Gifts in kind help the library to bolster its resources for current and future scholars. Can you donate items that might be of value to UVic's scholars?

If requested, a gift receipt for income tax purposes will be provided for materials that are retained.

    [Currently we are only able to accept music recordings in CD format. We are not able to accept sheet music. Scores and music-related books and commercially available videos and DVDs may be accepted for either the general collections or Special Collections.]
