**************
UVic Libraries purchased a campus license for RefWorks and access is free for all students, faculty, staff and alumni.
RefWorks is an Internet-based citation manager that allows users to create their own database of citations by importing references from a variety of electronic services and databases such as Academic Search Elite, MLA Bibliography, EconLit, Humanities Index, etc.
You will require a UVic Email Address (e.g. smith@uvic.ca / smith@alumni.uvic.ca) to register for a RefWorks account. Go to http://netlink.uvic.ca to register for a UVic Email Account.
NOTE: if you are having problems downloading citations from home try downloading the VPN software from UVic Systems. It simulates your entry into the UVic network as if you are on campus!
allows users to:
Manually create, store and manage citations.
Import and store citations saved from remote library catalogues and databases.
Automatically create and format bibliographies for publication in a chosen style. Features over 100 bibliographic styles.
Access your account from anywhere in the world with an internet connection.
