The Curriculum Library's Historical Textbook Collection
The Library's Historical Textbook Collection includes materials prescribed by the Ministry of Education for use in British Columbia K-12 classrooms. Materials in our collection date from the mid-19th century to items recently removed as resource lists are updated. The collection includes prescribed textbook lists, curriculum guides and other Ministry documents, textbooks and teacher guides, as well as children's and YA fiction and non-fiction titles previously recommended for use in B.C. schools.
Many of the older materials in this collection are in storage as we develop the collection. We hope to have these materials available soon. In the meantime, please contact Curriculum Library staff or the Education Librarian if you have any questions about accessing historical education materials.
