Borrowing Curriculum Library Materials
Print & Audio Visual Materials
- Undergraduate borrowers may sign out materials for 14 days
- Graduate students, faculty, and staff may borrow resources for 28 days
- Materials can be renewed in person, by phone, or online up to 3 times unless recalled by another borrower
- If your materials are recalled you have 1 week to return them to the Curriculum Library
- Overdue fines are $1 per day per item ($2 per day if recalled and overdue)
- When overdue fines reach $20.00, or if the item is missing or damaged, it is designated as 'lost' and the replacement cost plus a $30 processing fee are added to your account
- Alumni and community borrowers are welcome to use materials on site but may not sign materials out of the Curriculum Library
Technology
Students
- Students may borrow Mac and PC Laptops from the Loans Desk for use in the Library (a valid UVic student card is required)
- Media equipment such as cameras and digital recorders may be borrowed from the Media Commons located on the main floor of the Mearns Centre for Learning (see the Media Tech Help Guide for more Information)
Faculty and Staff
- Four laptop carts can be signed out of the Curriculum Library for use by Faculty of Education employees for on campus classroom use
- Check the Laptop Cart Booking Page for availability and to book a laptop
