Undergraduates
Undergraduate students are eligible to use INFOLINE free of charge if they live outside the Greater Victoria area and are enrolled in a distance education course offered by the University of Victoria. Students can request books, articles, and reference assistance to find the information needed to complete their assignments.
Researching a Topic
If you need to locate materials for your assignments, the University of Victoria Libraries subscribe to a number of online databases, many of which include full text and which can help you to identify useful resources. INFOLINE's Online Tutorials will provide you with an overview of the sources useful for different disciplines and how to search these efficiently.

Requesting Materials
If you have already identified what material you need, see the Submit a Request page for ways to send your requests to INFOLINE. You may contact us by phone, e-mail, or fax to submit requests, to find out how materials are sent to you, or to find information about loan periods and other procedures.
COPPUL Cards
You can use INFOLINE to request specific materials, but if you live near a Canadian university Library, you may want to contact INFOLINE to request a COPPUL card. This card will identify you as a registered UVic student and will enable you to borrow materials in-person from other Canadian university libraries. A list of the libraries participating in this borrowing agreement can be found at the Canadian University Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement site. Students with a COPPUL card should check with the libraries they are visiting to determine individual policies and procedures.
