Copying & Printing

UVic Libraries offers a number of options for users who wish to copy or print library materials. These include:

Costs

Printing (Black & White) $0.12/side*

Printing (Colour) $0.40/side

Photocopying (black & white) $0.12/side*

Photocopying (colour) $0.40/side

Microform printing $0.20/page

*Except $0.20/side (BW) at the copier/printer located in Music & Media Services

Photocopiers

Self-serve photocopying is available from 25 copiers in the Mearns Centre for Learning, Priestly Law Library, and several other buildings across campus. For a list of locations, see locations of photocopiers and printers.

All photocopiers offer:

  • letter-size or legal-size paper option
  • double-sided copying
  • reduction and enlargement features
  • $0.12 per side
  • copycard access

Some photocopiers also offer:

  • large-paper size (11"x17") option available at:
    • Mearns Centre for Learning:
      • Music & Media colour copier/printer
      • Maps
      • Reserve Room
      • 3rd floor
  • coin-operated option ($0.10 per side)
    • Current Periodicals, Mearns Centre

Printers

Printing is available from all the computer workstations and loaned laptops in the Mearns Centre for Learning. Wireless printing to the print station is also available. For a list of printer locations, see locations of photocopiers and printers.

Please note that print jobs sent to the print stations are held for 2 hours only after which time they are automatically deleted.

The black and white printers offer:

  • letter-size paper
  • $0.12 per side prints
  • double-sided copies (default setting)

The colour printers offer:

  • letter size paper
  • legal size paper
  • double-sided colour copies (default setting)
  • $0.12 per page

Microform reader/printers

Printing is available from the microform reader/printers in the Microform Room, basement of the McPherson Library.

All microform reader/printers offer:

  • letter-size paper
  • black and white copies
  • $0.20 per page prints
  • copycard access

Service of photocopiers and printers

For service of the self-serve photocopiers, printers and microfrom reader/printers, please call Client Services Technical Support Unit, 721-8284, or contact the Main Loan Desk, McPherson Library. Staff are available to add paper, add toner, fix paper jams and place service calls.
